I was reading up on my samurai lit (thank you, Andrew) and got to thinking about games we could play.
What about a game where one player is blindfolded and then he or she fights one or more other players who are similarly armed? The catch is that the not-blindfolded warriors must wear bells in order to give away their positions and make it less like a bad round of "whack the pinata".
I thought this might serve to train the fighter's ears as well as threat management and spatial concept.
Plus I think it could look either very ridiculous or very impressive.
Thoughts? I'll be picking up some bells, today, if I can.

Sounds like it could be an interesting idea. I think we also need to start thinking of ways to have campus inclusive events. We had discussed capture the flag at one point but i don't know how we would really tie that into the club. The college was pressing we do something campus inclusive so any ideas would be helpful.
But back to the original subject. I feel the person in the middle will get owned, but as long as the guys on the outside take it easy i think it would be very helpful.

Sorry I don't have a name yet, but another thing that I heard that might go over well with the campus community would be a play of some kind.

Out of curiosity, what happened to this idea? Are we planning on using it ever? It sounds fun...

We did it once with some interesting results, although, as any sort of practical thingy thingy, I think it needs some work.
Like, working out what the point is.
