Why not just keep it simple...
Orn Gwaith
In Elvish it means "TREE PEOPLE"...If you go along with MM mist carring you to the land you could have a variety of characters.
I posted my story in the character profiles....MM was my first home...you can see how it works. You can also just visit MM site.
The tree people from the land of the maple. It gives it a bit of mystery and let people take on assumptions of what the tree people really are. It leave the realm a chance to grow and see how it forms. I think it gives you a chance to stay more of a realm first, rather than split into lots of little units.

Brilliant!
We were toying with children of the maple in elvish and so on, but it wasn't too interesting sounding.
However, that I very like, in addition to your thoughts on realm expansion.

I too like this name, without the definition your mind wanders, which is neat. It seems that the administrative powers are in agreement.
Thanks Keyna, I would have toyed with a bunch of English phrases pertaining to maple, grove and people or children, none of which would have been much of a realm name.

I think it will work well with RP, especially with the LBTL. In the next few days i'll toy with it in my design software and try and come up with symbol or logos.

Question from the less-informed: Realm name is different from unit name, yes? And if so, what's our unit name? I remember something in Dutch or German or one of those languages, but I don't recall what it was.

You can leave unit name blank...you do not have to have units.
Yes your realm name is the name your chapter is registered with nationals. A unit is something you join besides your realm.

I like the name. Works for me. Once we're decided I'll get things set up for realmship on the dag boards.

RuinAnnon makes me think of "ruin anon[ymous]"
The anonymous gates of red flame ruin!
How'd you come up with those, Sio?
And, Wolfblade, Croatian? Sweet.

I actually hijacked an elvish dictionary and started combining words. XP
For example Mor = Dark Dor= Land, therefore Mordor = Dark Land
So.... my random word combining to make land names is -totally- legit?
My personal favorites are:
LhachTourë NarTourë RaenTourë
Because.... it describes the terrain a bit better?
